Welcome to Stamps House
Stamps is located on two acres of farmland. Four guys call Stamps home. We have fruit trees as well as a large garden. We are soon going to be raising chickens and getting eggs.
The vegetables from the garden as well as the eggs will become a means of employment for a couple of the guys down at the Saturday Farmers Market.
The fellows participate in a Community Inclusion Program. The activities include music program, library, swimming, playing pool, bowling and going out for coffee. In the spring and summer we have Hollywood Players.
In the evenings the individuals also access the community by going grocery shopping, attending wrestling, live music, jam sessions at local pubs, slow pitch games in the summer,
local movie theater, walks at the Crofton Seawall, Special Olympics bowling and Operation Trackshoes practices. The practices help to get in shape for the grand finale which is held at UVIC the second weekend in June. We attend Special Woodstock as well as Folk Festival which are held at Providence Farm. Every second Wednesday they go to Victoria to a dance and catch up on old friendships.
Twice a year we attend camp at the Cowichan River Bible Camp. We stay in cabins and access the property by playing softball, walks around the river, hiking, soccer, volleyball, participating in a scavenger hunt as well as karaoke and sing a longs around the campfire.
