Semi Independent Living Vital Society provides semi independent apartment living for individuals who have not had success living on their own. Our apartments are attached to a residence that is staffed 24/7. This provides around the clock safety for vulnerable individuals. The following is a story written by one of our residents. 
My life now is really going good. I live in a new home with people that look after me. I live semi-independently in my own apartment.
It’s my own apartment, I make my own meals and I have been given really nice things for my apartment.
I would like to do things to my apartment like paint it and decorate it the way I would like it. I have someone come in and help me shop for groceries. I now have a full time job at Tim Horton’s, I’m their cleaning Lady and now I will be working out front training to do coffee and help behind the counter.
I started Working at Tim Horton’s on June 3rd, 2007, now I have full time work. I have a good life with VITALS and living at Miller house.
I do have a Boy Friend but he is leaving to go to Alberta, I will miss him. I think it’s the best thing for him; we will keep in touch and stuff. I have good friends at work too, so my life is good now and I want to move on with my life. Oh! Thank you Janet for caring for me!
