Currently, Vital Society is looking to hire Casual On-Call Staff. Union Position. RCA preferred. Class 4 Driving License Required. Must have a clear criminal background check by the Attorney General CRC, clear driving abstract, clear TB Test, Adult CPR First Aid, Food Safe and be physically able to meet the job requirements.

Vital Society employs qualified staff to provide residential and non-residential care to individuals funded by Community Living BC. Our homes are licensed under the Residential Care Regulations.

We are a BCGEU unionized environment. Full time and part time positions are posted internally for 14 days. If the position is not filled internally, it is then posted externally. Persons applying for internal positions must be union members.

  The purpose of auxiliary staff is to provide coverage when, for a variety of reasons, regular staff will not be able to attend their shift. In the case of vacation, there is usually sufficient advance warning to allow management to arrange the replacement; however, frequently there is little warning when absence is due to illness or emergency. Replacement staff needs to be acquired as quickly as possible.
